Mark the date: Shiftnet V25 launches Wednesday, 22 July

Two weeks ago we told you what V25 is: one dashboard for hotspots and broadband, RADIUS in the cloud, mobile money that renews service by itself, and a network built so everyone earns. Today we can tell you when.

#01What happens on Wednesday

The platform update rolls out to Shiftnet Uganda providers during the day. There is nothing you need to install — dashboards, agent portals and captive portals update automatically, and your routers keep serving customers throughout. New tools simply appear where you'd expect them.

#02What your customers will feel first

• Instant mobile money. Buying a bundle on the hotspot portal now completes in seconds — approve the payment on your phone and the voucher appears on screen, already applied. No waiting, no retries.
• Lost-code recovery. A customer who loses a voucher gets it back right on the portal with just their phone number — no more walking back to the kiosk.
• SMS that keeps them online. Broadband customers get automatic renewal reminders before expiry, so fewer people wake up disconnected.

#03What providers get

• One-command router setup. Every onboarding script — remote access, telemetry, central RADIUS with the broadband server, and the captive portal — now installs from a single command pasted into the router terminal.
• A portal that earns. Elegant glass advert cards and provider notices on the login page turn the screen your users already see into a second income stream.
• Hardened security. A router security suite, device-session management with revocation, and safer team access controls — built into the dashboard.

#04How to get ready
